Senator Hatch Statement on Reporting Trump Nominees
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch opens a business meeting of the committee, expressing his disappointment that committee Democrats were boycotting the meeting because the nominations of Congressman Tom Price for Health and Human Services and Steve Mnuchin for Treasury Secretary, will be confirmed regardless, Democrats having had opportunities to thoroughly question the nominees. Hatch says he cannot recall Republicans treating Democratic nominees that way, that they have a right not to like President Trump, but should not treat Trump nominees that way.
