Operation Redwing was a series of 17 hydrogen bomb tests conducted in the Pacific by the US military in 1956. This test, codenamed Cherokee, took place on 20 May 1956 at Bikini Atoll. The 2nd test in the series, it was an airdrop with a yield of 3.8 megatons
