Congressman Clyburn says coronavirus monetary relief put corporations over small business at House hearing

House Coronavirus Select Investigative Subcommittee Chairman Jim Clyburn says in a prepared statement at an oversight hearing with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin that the Trump administration had prioritized big businesses over small businesses and American workers that Congress intended to protect, to refocus the Paycheck Protection Program, payroll support for the airline industry and other relief programs to ensure preserving jobs and not lining the pockets of wealthy executives, and the Treasury must improve oversight and accountability to ensure taxpayer dollars were not squandered.
