Congressman Clyburn blames Trump administration lacking coronavirus national plan for rising deaths at House hearing

House Coronavirus Select Investigative Subcommittee Chairman Jim Clyburn says in a prepared statement at an oversight hearing with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin that the Federal Reserve wrote weeks earlier the path of the economy would depend significantly on the course of the virus, Chairman Jerome Powell emphasize the point calling it so fundamental it cannot be said enough but tragically seven months since the first case of coronavirus was discovered on American shores the coronavirus continued to devastate, nearly 6 million Americans had tested positive in over 182,000 Americans had died, as most other countries were successfully contending with the virus the United States surged in cases and debts, because instead of leading with a national strategy the White House pushed states to reopen without a plan, instead of communicating science based to public health guidance, President Donald Trump claimed the virus would, quoting, just sort of disappear I hope, the failures costing hundreds of lives every day.
