Bear Struggles to Steal Pumpkin After Snacking on Spooky Season Decorations

A greedy bear struggled to make off with a large pumpkin after chowing down on several others that were on display for fall on an Ontario woman's porch. Footage captured by Sudbury resident Ashley Larose's Nest camera shows the black bear attempting to make off with the gourd after it had already snacked on some of her other pumpkins. Larose, who said the footage was filmed on October 1, told Storyful she thinks the bear was young and "probably taught by its mother that this is a great neighbourhood for snacks from a garden or compost." "He/she came exploring after we had put out our autumn decorations and actually snacked on several pumpkins before trying to go in for the biggest one of the bunch," Larose said.
