Commissioner Ramamurti suggests Secretary Mnuchin decision to stop coronavirus business loans to hamstring Biden administration

Commissioner Bharat Ramamurti of the Congressional Oversight Commission created by the CARES Act coronavirus relief bill says at a hearing with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin that despite Mnuchin's claims that the CARES Act did not require him to end programs that year he admitted was based on his interpretation of Congress is intent only after the election of Joe Biden, a political decision intended to hamstring the incoming administration even as COVID deaths were spiking and the economic recovery was slowing, thankfully the Biden administration not bound by his decision and should restart the programs, reclaim money Congress set aside in the Act and use it to offer more help the small businesses and state and local governments.
