The satellite town Vogelstang near Mannheim will have 20.000 inhabitants after its completion in autumn 1969. The majority of the altogether 5.553 accommodation units has already moved. The housing estate is built with regard to the most modern points of view including several schools, sport and park areas, two children's homes and one old peoples' home as well as a shopping centre with an area of 8.000 square metres.
