Manila, PHILIPPINES: The first family of the late dictator President Ferdinand Marcos, (L to R) Irene, Ferdinand "Bong Bong" Jr., the former first lady Imelda and Imee during the launching of the books and library of the former dictator Marcos, in Manila's National Library 07 July 2007. Imelda and the late president were facing multiple corruption and human rights violation cases after they were ousted by military backed civilian revolt in 1986. A court found Imelda guilty of corruption charges in the mid-1990s and sentenced to a minimum of 12 years in prison, but the conviction was overturned on appeal. Imelda who turned 78 last 02 July, recently unveiled the "Imelda Collection" range of jewelries in Manila. The government alleges the Marcos family of plundering the country of up to 10 billion USD between 1968 and 1986, when Marcos was in power.
