BOUDHANATH STUPA, KATHMANDU, NEPAL - 2011/03/10: Nepali police in riot gear gather in front of the Boudhanath Stupa. Tibetan Uprising Day commemorates the 1959 uprising of the Tibetan people against the occupation of Tibet by the People's Republic of China. In Nepal, Tibetans and Tibetan sympathizers gathered at monasteries at the Boudhanath Stupa to listen to speeches and protest.
