SEP 23 1972 Fire Heavily Damages Truck The interior of a concrete truck, which caught fire near the intersection of Interstates 70 and 25 Friday, is heavily damaged. The driver. Merle Fredinburg, 39, Colorado Springs, an employee of Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc., said he pulled over after noticing smoke coming from in back of the truck's cab. Fredinburg used the truck's fire extinguisher to combat the fire which was well under control by the time firemen arrived, said Assistant Fire Chief D. C. Patallaz. Most of the damage was in the cab and firemen used only water to squelch the flames, Patallaz said. The fire caused only minor traffic delays, according to Patallaz.
