PALERMO, SICILY, ITALY - 2018/03/31: Chosen member of the community seen while taking a rest before continuing the path carrying on their shoulder the statue of the Holy Mary. On the holy Friday before Easter many processions fill the streets of Palermo, the capital of Sicily region in southern Italy. Religious celebrations are very important moments deeply felt among the people. The processions of the Holy Friday have normally two figures Jesus and the Holy Mary. The processions re enact the trip taken by the Holy Mary after the crucifixion of Jesus to take his body to the sepulchre. The religious processions are meant to visit different neighbourhood of the city before returning back to the starting church, after some hours.
