An electricity pylon is hooked to cables
Cancun, MEXICO: An electricity pylon is hooked to cables 22 October 2005 in Cancun during the passage of Hurricane Wilma. Three people died and more than 1000 homes were destroyed in Playa del Carmen, as deadly hurricane Wilma lashed the popular tourist resort towns of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, local officials said. Though it weakened in the early hours and was downgraded to a category-three storm, Wilma packed enough punch to fell trees and tear off roofs, as tens of thousands of tourists and residents cowered in emergency shelters.
