The French Legion d'honneur which can also be worn as a boutonniere - as done (right) by President Chirac. It has emerged that The Queen and other senior members of the Royal Family privately favour a similar lapel badge. *.. enabling recipients of honours, like the MBE, OBE and CBE, to wear an discreet everyday badge of their awards. At present, holders of honours are limited to wearing their medals, or permitted miniature versions of insignia, on rare formal occasions.
