London, UNITED KINGDOM: British singer George Michael gestures as he leaves the Brent Magistrates Court in London, 08 June 2007, after receiving 100 hours of community service, a two year driving ban, and a two and a half thousand pound fine for driving offenses. A smiling Michael, wearing a charcoal grey suit and a black T-shirt, emerged from the courthouse and read a brief statement before being driven off. "Just listen to this as I haven't had a chance legally to say anything for the last eight months," he told reporters. "I would simply ask people to understand that the media coverage of this case has been farcical, concentrating almost entirely on the prosecution's allegations.
