8 of the last 8 chimps moved out of Wildlife Waystation

SYLMAR, CA-NOVEMBER 18, 2022: Anher Flores, the head of chimp care and compound manager at the Wildlife Waystation in the Angeles National Forest, holds the hand of a chimpanzee inside a transport cage, waiting to be loaded into a moving van for a 1600 mile journey east to Chimp Haven in Keithville, Louisiana, the worlds largest chimpanzee sanctuary. A total of 8 chimpanzees were coaxed into transport cages for the move. Only 2 chimpanzees remain at the Wildlife Waystation and they are expected to be transported to Chimp Haven within a few weeks.
